Directions to the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center

The Sacramento Valley Shooting Center is located approximately 15 miles Southeast of the city of Sacramento. Do not use car based GPS or Internet/electronic maps for directions to the range as they often have you entering from Dillard Road. Meiss from Dillard is an unpaved, nearly impassible rock road. Use Ione Road to approach Meiss Road.
From Sacramento
From Highway 50 take Sunrise boulevard south 7.5 miles to the Jackson
Highway (Highway 16). Turn left towards Rancho Murieta and go 11.5 miles
to Ione road. Turn right on Ione road and go 4 miles to Meiss road. Turn
right on Meiss road, the entrance to the Sacramento Valley Shooting
Center is 0.25 miles further on the right.
From Stockton (via Dillard Road)
From Highway 99 take Dillard road east 14.3 miles to the Jackson Highway
(Highway 16). Turn right towards Rancho Murieta and go 5.8 miles to Ione
road. Turn right on Ione road and go 4 miles to Meiss road. Turn right
on Meiss road, the entrance to the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center is
0.25 miles further on the right. WARNING: Do not take Meiss road from
Dillard road, it quickly turns into a very rough dirt road.
From Stockton (via Twin Cities Road)
From Highway 99 take Twin Cities road east 20 miles to Ione Michigan Bar
road. Turn left on Ione Michigan Bar road and go 5.1miles to Meiss road.
Turn left on Meiss road, the entrance to the Sacramento Valley Shooting
Center is 0.25 miles further on the right.
From Bay Area
From the Bay Area take Highway 80 east towards Sacramento. Just past the
Yolo Causeway the highway will split into Highway 80 and Business, take
Business 80 towards South Lake Tahoe. A few miles later you will come to
the Business 80, Highway 99, Highway 50 interchange. Take Highway 50
east towards South Lake Tahoe. From Highway 50 take Sunrise boulevard
south 7.5 miles to the Jackson Highway (Highway 16). Turn left towards
Rancho Murieta and go 11.5 miles to Ione road. Turn right on Ione road
and go 4 miles to Meiss road. Turn right on Meiss road, the entrance to
the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center is 0.25 miles further on the
right.
From Placerville
From Placerville take Highway 49 south 22 miles to the Junction of
Highway 49 and Highway 16. Take Highway 16 south 10.2 miles to Ione
road. Turn left on Ione road and go 4 miles to Meiss road. Turn right on
Meiss road, the entrance to the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center is
0.25 miles further on the right.
