* The Match Director/Range Master will set up the classifier in Bay 2.
During the winter we will use Bays 7 and 8 when Bays 2 and 3 are too muddy to
use.
Each stage designer should have a written stage description which includes:
1. Scoring (Comstock, Virginia, or Fixed Time).
2. Round count (32 maximum).
3. Target count.
4. Start position, which should include handgun ready condition.
5. Stage procedure.
It is preferable to have the stage set up the day before the match except for
hanging the cardboard targets. However, match day set up is sometimes
unavoidable and can work if enough help is organized before hand and the stage
construction starts early. Let the Match Director know what equipment you will
need and he can put it in your bay to save set up time on match day.
There are binders of sample stage designs in the office. Many of the stages
available online are unsafe and/or illegal under current USPSA Rules. Please
make up your own stage. Ask for help, if you need it. Chapter 1 in the "USPSA
Handgun Competition Rules" addresses stage design.
