Match Schedule
The match dates for the Sacramento Valley Steel Shooters matches is generally on the 3rd Sunday of each month, March through October, except in August when the match will be on the 2nd Sunday (the weekend prior to the actual Steel Challenge). However due to requests from other clubs and other major matches in the Sacramento Area some of the matches had to be moved or cancelled. The following are the dates of the 2010 matches:

Match setup starts at 8:00am.
Registration opens around 8:30am.
Shooter meeting about
9:00am.

Final results and awards are usually around 2:00pm.

Matches are held at the Action Pistol range of the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center, southeast of Sacramento between Rancho Murieta and Latrobe.

More Information
The match consists of 8 stages each month, You will need a minimum of 200 rounds to complete the match. Bring at least 250 rounds to be safe, 300 would be better.
During the June, July, and August matches we will be shooting the championship stages of the Steel Challenge. The stages for the other matches will be similar to the Steel Challenge stages (5 strings, 5 shots for each string), but will be designed by the match director. These stages will generally use the larger steel targets and will be closer than the championship stages of the Steel Challenge.
